CM Punk To Make Netflix Debut On 31 August
Professional wrestler, mixed martial artist, comic book writer... game show co-host?
CM Punk has led a diverse career that has earned credits in professional wrestling, mixed martial arts, and the comic book industry. As of 31 August, he can officially add game show co-host to his résumé.
With the WWE and UFC behind him, the future of Punk's career has become a speculative pastime for wrestling fans. Even though Punk shocked the wrestling world by announcing a rare autograph signing at One Hour Tees in Chicago during All In weekend, other rumoured participation in the 1 September show has been denied by all parties involved.
Cody Rhodes told Wrestling Inc that Punk did in fact turn down a formal offer from Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks to make an appearance on the All In show, but that doesn't mean fans won't get the opportunity see Punk on their screens that very same weekend.
On the same day of the One Hour Tees autograph signing, CM Punk will make his Netflix debut as co-host of Ultimate Beastmaster. Punk will join former NFL player Tiki Barber in calling the international obstacle course competition show for all 9 episodes of the show's 3rd season.
Considering Punk's loss to Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in June, as well as his wrestling-related legal battles with WWE doctor Christopher Amann and former friend Colt Cabana, Ultimate Beastmaster might be the closest CM Punk will get to competitive action for quite sometime.
