Early 2011 was a pretty bad time to be a wrestling fan. It didn't help that The Miz was WWE Champion and WrestleMania 27 was the worst one since WrestleMania 11. Nevertheless, one of the only bright spots of the event was CM Punk vs. Randy Orton. The match may not have gone CM Punk's way as he didn't like being a jobber to Randy Orton. As a wrestling fan though, we were treated to one exciting match that had an even bigger and better finish. The match could have been better if it was given more time. Still, it was a decent contest that also had a clean and spectacular finish. Unlike most of the card for WrestleMania 27, this was a solid contest between two wrestlers that could actually wrestle. Unlike the main event that featured John Cena who is a guy many people hate, and The Miz who is also a guy many people hate. The Miz being in the main event in WrestleMania 27 still irks CM Punk and many wrestling fans to this day. The event may have been better received if Randy Orton vs. CM Punk was the last match of the show for the WWE Title instead.
