CM Punk's 10 Best WWE Matches

4. CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho - Extreme Rules 2012

CM Punk faced Chris Jericho in a very good match at WrestleMania 28. It was a decent match for sure, but it somehow wasn't the instant classic many people thought they would have. Arguably their Payback 2013 match was superior to the WrestleMania 28 encounter. However, the best match these two ever had was the brutally exciting Extreme Rules match from 2012 for the WWE Championship. Chris Jericho at the time was mocking CM Punk's family saying his sister was a junkie and his dad was an alcoholic. The feud once again had a realistic tone much like CM Punk's feud with Jeff Hardy just three years prior. As a result of this tone, both men clad in jeans and just beat the living hell out of each other. Some people have criticized PG for not adding any blood to the matches. This match was brutal and exciting and it didn't even have any blood. This match may have not been in the true main event spot, but it proved once again why CM Punk is king of any match he's put inside. Whether the match has weapons or no weapons, CM Punk gives it 100% every time he goes out there.
