Cody Rhodes' 10 Best In-Ring Rivals Post-WWE
2. Kenny Omega
The aforementioned bad blood between Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega over who was the rightful leader of Bullet Club reached a boiling point at the onset of 2018 when Cody turned on Omega and challenged him to a match at ROH Supercard of Honor.
The biggest story going into the event was who The Young Bucks would side with. They attempted to help Omega by superkicking Cody but wound up accidentally hitting Omega, resulting in a big win for Rhodes. Once Omega captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship that June, Omega and Cody clashed once more, this time with the title at stake.
As entertaining as their first match together was (despite running a little too long), it didn't feel like a true blow-off to their feud, which was probably for the best. After holding back in that bout, Cody and Omega redeemed themselves at the G1 Special in San Francisco by battering their bodies and telling a spectacular story of two men who wanted nothing more than to gain complete control of their coveted faction.
Omega's win not only put their long-running rivalry to rest once and for all but also ended the infighting within Bullet Club. Cody sided with Omega during their post-match brawl with The Guerrillas of Destiny and the two have been on good terms ever since.
