Cody Rhodes has opened up about a "disaster" match that must be considered the worst of his entire WWE career. It was a bout so bad that Vince McMahon was left fuming behind the curtain, and it caused Wade Barrett to go off punching walls as a referee got grilled for being "totally out of position".

Royal Rumble winner Cody told 'HOT 106' that the match took place on the 17 June 2011 episode of SmackDown. He teamed with Ted DiBiase and Barrett vs. Daniel Bryan, Sin Cara and Ezekiel Jackson. All six were supposed to work across three segments on the show, but ended up going just one.

DiBiase failed to kick out when he was supposed to, and the ref counted to three.

Rhodes revealed that he'd been bullish beforehand, and told agent Michael Hayes that they were going out there to "tear the roof off this place". Bizarrely, he then snorted some pre-workout (which, obviously, was an awful idea that no-one should try) and marched off.

Cody says he was trying to "be funny" by doing that, but realises it was stupid. Worse, he looked foolish when the match bombed spectacularly.
