Cody Rhodes was "excited" to meet Bianca Belair when he signed on the dotted line with WWE for a second time.

The former AEW man told Busted Open Radio that he'd admired Belair's work from afar even when he was working for Tony Khan. Cody loved Bianca's headline performance opposite Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37, and he was thrilled to properly meet her backstage at this year's event.

Rhodes said he camped out "underneath the stage" during Belair's match with Becky Lynch on 'Mania's opening night. His comeback match vs. Seth Rollins was up next, and Cody wanted to get a feel for the live crowd in Texas beforehand.

The returnee knew he and Seth had something special to follow when he heard how loud the fans were for Belair and Becky - later, when Bianca returned behind the curtain, Rhodes was one of the first to greet her and congratulate her on the match.

Cody described a surely-exhausted-but-happy Belair as "a total queen". He also added that he was delighted to be one of the first to shake her hand considering he's "brand new on the team".
