CONFIRMED: "WrestleMania And All Related Events In Tampa Bay Will Not Take Place"

It's Official - 'The Show Of Shows' will not take place from Raymond James Stadium.

WrestleMania 36 will not take place from Tampa Bay's Raymond James Stadium.

WWE confirmed the news in a press release issued just minutes ago after weeks of speculation on the status of the 'Show Of Shows'.

The statement was as follows; “In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”

The Performance Center was home to NXT and SmackDown last week as cancellations became commonplace throughout the industry ahead of Monday's Raw featuring appearances from Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker and Edge. Assuming all is accurate in the above statement, expect all the major stars previously set to tangle on the pirate-themed edition of the 'Grandaddy Of 'Em All' to appear in some capacity at the reimagined version of the event on April 5th.

Not since 1991's WrestleMania VII has the company been forced to move venues so close to the date, and not once in over three decades has it been forced to occur on anything resembling a "closed set".

Lots, lots more on this enormous, historic story as it breaks.
