Internal WWE forces are clashing over the latest developments in The Bloodline.

This is according to WrestleVotes on X, who tweeted the following;

"Hearing that at least one creative force backstage wants WWE to wait for WrestleMania to do the first Uso ‘Brother v Brother’ match. However that’s unlikely at this point I’m told, with the feeling that 35 weeks is too long of a stretch."

Jimmy Uso turned heel on Jey Uso during the main event of Saturday's SummerSlam card. 'Main Event Jey' looked set to finally defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship before a masked Jimmy pulled him to the floor and nailed him with a superkick. Reigns appeared as shocked as Jey and anybody else with his intervention, and this is set to be followed up on in a "Hail To The Chief" segment on Friday's SmackDown.

It's the latest twist in a long tale that's helped drive WWE to something resembling a new boom period in 2023. The pair have never had a singles match, and have spoken before about wanting to work against each other at a WrestleMania. The latest report suggests that this has at least been considered, though the push-back is just as notable - acclaim for Saturday's contest and post-match development was less-than-universal, and some internal names may be aware of this external concern.
