Jon Moxley MJF

With the main event picture of AEW currently trying to find its feet after that All-Out fracas, there's now word on which talents are expected to main event the promotion's next PPV.

Speaking on today's Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer believes that MJF will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in the main event of November's Full Gear event. To get there, Meltzer added how he's under the impression that Moxley will emerge victorious in the ongoing tournament to crown a new AEW Champ. Of course, for MJF, the Salt of the Earth has a guaranteed World Title shot courtesy of this past Sunday's Casino Ladder contest.

The aforementioned tournament began last night and saw Bryan Danielson topple 'Hangman' Adam Page in order to set up a semi-final match against Chris Jericho. On the other side of the bracket, Friday's AEW Rampage will see Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin face off, with the winner of that match going onto do battle with Jon Moxley in the other semi-final.

This tourney will culminate on the 21 September Grand Slam special of Dynamite from Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The fourth outing for the PPV, this year's Full Gear will emanate from Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center on Saturday 19 November. If MJF and Moxley do indeed headline this show, this will be the second PPV that they've main evented - with Friedman coming up short when challenging for Mox's AEW World Title at All Out 2020.
