Current WWE Star Moves Into New Producer Role
This WWE favourite has started producing matches for the company.
With WWE currently taping matches for the upcoming new Speed video series, one interesting name who's served as a producer on some of these bouts is current SmackDown star Pete Dunne.
As per Fightful Select, the Bruiserweight was listed as the sole producer for the two Speed matches taped prior to last Friday's SmackDown. There, Tyler Bate took on Angel Garza, and Cedric Alexander battled Odyssey Jones in matches taped for WWE Speed.
At this stage, it's not known whether there's a plan for Dunne to produce more matches in the future or whether this was a one-off experiment of sorts. Of course, the Catch Republic man is a vastly experienced veteran of the squared circle despite his relatively young age - with Dunne having begun training at the age of 12, ahead of making his in-ring debut at 13.
Still only 30 years of age, clearly this won't be representing a full-time switch from wrestler to producer for Pete Dunne, but it at least gives an indicator of how highly thought of the Englishman's knowledge is by those within WWE.
As for WWE Speed, the matches will have a maximum length of five minutes and will air exclusively on X beginning in the Spring. WWE has been quietly taping these contests before Raw and SmackDown tapings in recent weeks.
