Damage CTRL Likely DONE As A WWE Stable (WWE News)
Damage CTRL's time as a WWE stable likely over following Dakota Kai's release, IYO SKY's push.

Damage CTRL's time as an active WWE stable is likely over following Dakota Kai's release from the promotion.
On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez stated that unofficially, Damage CTRL is done as an act, potentially freeing IYO SKY to continue her ongoing singles push and for the absent duo of Asuka and Kairi Sane to work as a tag team upon returning.
Though the stable was never formally broken up on air, Damage CTRL have not featured together on television for several months. Towards the end of the stable's life, Sane and Asuka were injured and unable to compete, Kai had been pursuing the Women's Intercontinental Championship, and SKY was feuding with Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair over the WWE Women's World Championship, which she won on 3 March.
Kai was one of several WWE releases announced last week, let go alongside fellow main roster talents Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Kayden Carter, and Katana Chance, as well as a host of NXT and other developmental names. The 36-year-old will be bound to a 90-day non-compete clause preventing her from signing or appearing for other promotions until that period expires.
Damage CTRL formed at SummerSlam 2022, when Bayley returned from a year-long injury absence with the re-signed Kai and SKY, who'd been renamed and called up from NXT. Asuka and Sane were added to the group in late 2023, before Bayley was ejected, turning babyface in the process. This led to Bayley challenging for (and winning) SKY's WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024.
