Danhausen's existing AEW deal is said to be up next month.

With a couple of now-former AEW talents having exited the company at the turn of the month after the expiration of their prior deals, could Danhausen now be on his way out of the promotion?

Per Fightful Select, Danhausen's current AEW contract is up in July, which raises plenty of questions about the Very Nice, Very Evil star's future. This report notes how there hasn't been any mention of creative plans for Danhausen for months, so, unless time is added on to his deal for injuries, it could well be that the hugely entertaining 34-year-old's time with AEW is coming to a close.

Having been entirely absent from AEW and ROH programming for a good while, Danhausen made a surprise appearance at ROH Final Battle back in December. And then, well, then there's been nothing for him. From Fightful, Danhausen was said to have been welcomed back backstage at Final Battle, with many, including the man himself, under the impression he'd be brought back fully into the fold as a regular TV presence. Since then, Danhausen reached out to management several times post-Final Battle, only to be told that there were no plans to bring him to that particular week's events.

As of this writing, Danhausen's most recent match under the AEW/ROH banner came in February 2024, where he picked up a win over Brandon Cutler in ROH. In terms of AEW, the Detroit native last competed in December 2023 in a battle royal on the Worlds End pre-show. Prior to that, Danhausen had spent part of 2023 on the sidelines after suffering a torn pec.

Should this indeed be it for Danhausen in AEW, he'll be the latest talent whose contract Tony Khan has opted against renewing. As alluded to, earlier this month saw Abadon and Bear Bronson depart the company after their deals were allowed to expire, while Mariah May decided to switch AEW for WWE once her contract was up around that same time. Since then, the Glamour has landed in NXT and taken on the name of Blake Monroe.
