Almost immediately, a young Bryan Danielson was a stand out as part of the Texas Wrestling Academy run by Shawn Michaels in the late-1990's. Excelling alongside the likes of Brian Kendrick and Lance Cade, Michaels realised that his young bucks needed more worldly experience if they were ever going to make it, and thus brokered deals for them to work in places like Japan and elsewhere.

Seeking his own opportunities to improve, the future WWE headliner remarkably states that the most fun he's ever had during his career was when working the holiday camp circuit in the UK. Hooking up with Brian Dixon's All-Star Wrestling, the grappler was forced to learn how to entertain a wide variety of audiences, many of which were young children and non-wrestling fans who were simply on holiday.

It's quite startling to read about how Daniel Bryan - going under a mask as 'American Dragon' - had to adapt his style to be more entertaining, rather than merely being focused on having an athletic, hard-hitting match. Audience interaction became key, and Bryan says he enjoyed the simple, circus-like nature and the family bond of the All-Star shows.
