Speaking of Bryan's relationship with Vince McMahon, it's always been a strange one. Long before he first appeared on the NXT program, Bryan was viewed as someone with unlimited potential by his trainer, Shawn Michaels. Looking to get some of his guys into the WWE system, Michaels spoke highly of Bryan to McMahon, so much so that Vince was interested in meeting this young kid.

Incredibly, Daniel didn't even own a decent suit before meeting Vince, and had to go and buy one before seeing his future boss face-to-face. The whole meeting with McMahon comes across like a scene from an awkward comedy show, with the immaculate patriarch of the WWE being completely underwhelmed by the wrestler.

As if to baffle McMahon even more than he already had done, Daniel Bryan answered Vince's questions about exactly how good he was by remarking, "I'm ok". Shocked by how humble the man was, McMahon was not impressed, and Bryan would have to wait for another opportunity to meet the single most powerful man in wrestling.

It's little stories such as this which only help endear Bryan to the reader, because his story is one of the underdog overcoming the odds.
