Daniel Bryan's 10 Best Matches

1. Bryan Danielson vs. KENTA (September 16, 2006)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyDq04ckffQ Ring of Honor held their Glory By Honor V: Night 2 event at New York City's Manhattan Center. A few weeks prior to the event, Bryan suffered a separated shoulder (tearing two tendons in his shoulder and one in his chest) during a match with Colt Cabana, so many questioned just how hard the American Dragon would be able to go that night in New York. KENTA, a legendary star from Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, was an innovator in professional wrestling that influenced many of Bryan's generation. With a past in kickboxing, he brought about a strong, mixed martial arts style to wrestling that Bryan, CM Punk and Samoa Joe had been emulating early on in their careers. The Glory By Honor main event itself was a dazzling mix of scientific and strong style professional wrestling, but it wasn't without some humor as well. In one memorable moment, Bryan goes for a surfboard but loses control of KENTA's legs. This caused the crowd to start a "you f---ed up" chant, so Bryan turned it on them and screamed, "I f---ed up?!" He then slammed KENTA's legs into the ground from the surfboard position and yelled back at the crowd, "I don't EVER f--- up!" Another memorable spot had Bryan, messed up shoulder and all, spring boarding off the top rope to the outside, over the ring barrier and into the crowd on top of KENTA. Towards the conclusion of the match, Bryan came off the top rope and Kenta proceeded to catch him on his shoulders and hit the Go To Sleep. Finally, after a long back and forth classic, Bryan won by synching in his Cattle Mutilation submission to score the victory.
