Is Miro amongst the group of AEW wrestlers rumoured to be angling for a WWE return at the moment?

No, he is not.

This is according to the Wrestling Observer's Ryan Frederick, who outright said as much over the weekend. Miro's name had come up through speculation linking a number of AEW's ex-WWE contingent with a desire to head back to Stamford.

August brought talk of Miro potentially yearning for WWE when he liked a tweet stating he had it better under his former employers. Fightful Select reported the following month that rumours on the former Rusev's supposed unhappiness in AEW were unfounded, with the former TNT Champion contracted to the Tony Khan-helmed promotion until early 2026.

Miro, who debuted for AEW in September 2020, agreed to a long-term contract extension with the promotion in late 2021.

Pre-AEW, Miro's big break in American wrestling came under WWE employ. Working for the market leaders from 2010 through 2020, he was a three-time United States Champion as Rusev, but also a perennial fixture on any list of wrestlers fans felt the company wasn't making the best use of. This was particularly when he and Aiden English became one of WWE's most popular acts as Rusev Day in 2018, though they were never substantially pushed.
