Dominik Mysterio AEW Champion
AAA

For those who tuned in for AAA's premiere episode on Fox in Latin America over the weekend, you'd have been forgiven for thinking that AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio had swapped WWE for AEW.

That Fox debut saw a video air where Dirty Dom was talking up his achievements, bragging about winning the AAA Mega Championship in Las Vegas, taking shots at celebrities like Canelo Alvarez and Bad Bunny, boasting about how statues will be made of him in the future, and just Dominik Mysterio being, well, Dominik Mysterio.

As Mysterio narrated this video, intercut with footage of the two-time Intercontinental Champion, some of this footage was done using AI-generated animation. And as part of this AI usage, Dom is briefly shown wearing a title belt with the AEW logo plastered across the front of it. In reality, that title belt is the AAA Mega Championship, with Mysterio also holding the WWE Intercontinental Title aloft in the real footage that was altered by AI.

While Dominik Mysterio is currently recovering from a shoulder injury that reportedly will not require surgery, the 28-year-old has another showdown with El Hijo del Vikingo in his AAA future as and when he's cleared to return to the ring, as Vikingo defeated El Grande Americano over the weekend - thanks to an Omos assist - to become the new number one contender for the Mega Championship.
