8. Bob Backlund - The Miz

Now, hear me out. He might be best known for playing The Marine in those... entertaining (?) WWE Studios movies, but Mike The Miz Mizanin has the perfect blend of stuff to pull off Bob Backlund, who played a key role in the rise of Hulkamania.

Not only is he an actual wrestler, which would suit the film's sense of immersion for the key January 1984 match against the Wild Samoans in which Hogan came to Backlund's rescue, but he's great on the mic. Someone needs to be able to do both to deliver the promo announcing Hogan's face-turn.

He'd also be able to handle to complexity of Backlund's role behind the curtain if Hogan chooses to tell the version of the story where Backlund refuses to drop the belt to him.
