Again, assuming we're looking at the early days of success in the NWA, and how Ric Flair developed his in-ring persona, we're going to have to have Ricky Steamboat in there.
From the same training school as Flair, Steamboat played the other half of the key NWA feud in the late 1980s that established Flair as the swaggering ladies man heel opposite his opponent's wholesome family man. Having THAT feud rather than his final feud with Sting as the lead up to his departure from NWA would make for a nicer narrative path.
And as for the actor to play him? Korean American Rick Yune who was most recently in Alita: Battle Angel and will be appearing alongside Nic Cage in the bonkers Jiu Jitsu would be a very good pick. Particularly with his combat training.
