WWE's Drew McIntyre has effectively called out THIS retired star. Oh, the possibilities!

Heel supremo Drew McIntyre admits to being "disappointed" that he's never had the chance to step into a WWE ring opposite Batista. The pair recently shot scenes for the movie 'The Killer's Game' together, and Drew hopes that'll lead to something more down the line.

He told ComicBook that "it's in Dave's court". Basically, he doesn't want to pressurise the retired legend into another match just for the sake of it, but McIntyre believes he and Batista could do something special stuff together on WWE TV. Over to you, 'Animal'!

No current Drew interview would be complete without some trolling either. He ended the chat by adding: "I’m not saying that Dave’s chicken if he doesn’t accept the match, but he’s definitely something that’s another word for a cat".

Tremendous.

McIntyre has been tearing it up and earning rave reviews for his work vs. CM Punk since the turn of the year. They recently worked a 'Strap Match' at Bash In Berlin, and are headed towards another clash at Bad Blood in October. Could Batista be waiting for Drew beyond that?

Place your bets for WrestleMania, but only if Batista fancies another match. It's unlikely, sure, but hardly impossible.
