It’s one thing to enjoy a hugely successful career in your own right. It’s another thing to have not one but two sons who have also enjoy successful wrestling careers too.

Elder son Dustin, best known as the flamboyant Goldust, has been a stalwart of the wrestling business for the past 25 years. He first emerged in the Florida territory that his father made famous and then had a brief stint, very much known as Dusty’s son, in the WWF in the early 1990s. But he then moved to WCW where he carved a niche of his own before shocking fans by transforming himself as the androgynous Goldust back in WWF. Nowadays, he still wrestles, defying his age of 46, and is very much involved in the tryouts that are given to aspiring wrestlers before WWE events.

Cody, on the other hand, is a lot younger at 29 and is in his ninth year as a pro. He has enjoyed moderate success as Cody Rhodes and his newer character Stardust but is earmarked for a long and successful career in the WWE once he finally finds the character and persona that fits him best.

There’s no doubt in this writer’s mind that having a father as insightful as ‘The American Dream’ has played a huge part in the natural ability and charisma that Dustin and Cody have exhibited during their own wrestling careers.
