Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

4. Sarge - Doom

the rock doom Doom had all the potential in the world to be a great action movie and break the trend of awful video game adaptations. It had a great hulking presence in the lead and a decent supporting cast that included Karl Urban and Rosamund Pike, to go with a relatively capable director, Andrzej Bartkowiak, but the potential pieces added up to a catastrophic mess of a movie. Everything in the movie is sloppy and mishandled, from the lighting to the script, and it all adds up to a horrid experience that is borderline unwatchable. The Rock is apathetic in one of his most boring performances as he offers nothing to the movie, and though this was at the beginning of his acting career, being raw cannot be an excuse after he impressed in Welcome to the Jungle and Walking Tall. Even though it is only 100 minutes in length, it is overlong and grating and The Rock appears to be phoning it in and waiting for the paycheque.
