3. Boxer Santaros/Jericho Cane - Southland Tales
There's very little to say that hasn't already been said in regards to Richard Kelly's career destroying bomb of a movie. It's an incomprehensible, self-indulgent mess of a movie that left the entirety of the audience completely baffled. In the movie, The Rock portrays an almost self-parodic action star who suffers from amnesia and he hits all the wrong notes, as he, like everyone else, doesn't understand a word of the script. There are a lot of things going on in Southland Tales, and none of them are interesting, and to make a movie that features The Rock playing a movie star and Sarah Michelle Gellar as a prostitute boring takes a dubious amount of talent. Johnson is very much out of his depth here, but it's hard to blame a man for wanting to try his hand at an abstract indie movie, it's just that the abstract indie movie in question is one of the worst films ever made.
