Every 1-Time WWE Champion Ranked From Worst To Best

15. The Iron Sheik

Eddie Guerrero

Twitter's favourite wrestler, The Iron Sheik, had quite the career during his many stints in the WWF. He won the tag team titles at the very first WrestleMania, main evented SummerSlam as "Colonel Mustafa", and won the greatest match of all time - the Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania X-7!

One of Sheiky Baby's other crowning achievements was ending Bob Backlund's legendary reign with the WWF Championship in 1983. Sheik forced Backlund's manager, Arnold Skaaland, to throw in the towel for the champion after he "made him humble" with the Camel Clutch. Sadly for The Sheik (and the world at large), his reign lasted a mere 28 days when he dropped the title to his favourite person in the entire world, Hulk Hogan.

Another transitional champion, Sheik did at least get a full month out of his time with the gold and defended it against legends like Jay Strongbow and Pat Patterson. The fact that he ushered in the age of Hulkamania is no small feat either, as it helped kickstart wrestling's first great boom period.

Just don't tell Sheik that we mentioned his and Hogan's name in the same sentence.
