Every Active WWE Tag Team: Ranked From Worst To Best

9. Heath Slater & Rhyno

Heath Slater and Rhyno's time has come and gone. They were excellent last year, with the former 3MB leader's free agent storyline one of the post-2016 draft's best SmackDown storylines, and their tag title win was a great moment. Both were shining as the blue brand's resident odd couple, but their push always felt like a short-term deal, and so it transpired.

'Beauty & the Man-Beast' fell off as soon as they dropped the belts. Their appearances became increasingly sparse, and they've barely been used since joining Raw in April. Slater & Rhyno have wrestled just five tag matches for the red brand so far, and it's unlikely they'll ever be a pushed commodity again, particularly with more popular teams like Ambrose & Rollins on the scene.

This is a shame, particularly for somebody who works as hard as Slater, but every act has a shelf life. Theirs expired early, and while there's no doubt they can still be an entertaining duo in the tag division's middle tier, WWE only seem interested in pushing one babyface tandem at a time on Raw, and Slater & Rhyno are way down the pecking order.
