2. The Inner Circle Vs. Matt Hardy And The Elite (Double Or Nothing 2020)
Chris Jericho hit the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot with a Judas Effect.
Matt Jackson Moonsaulted off a goalpost.
Sammy Guevara took the mother of all One-Winged Angels off the TIAA Bank Field bleachers.
Matt Hardy was reincarnated as variations of himself throughout his career.
Adam Page rode in on a pissing horse(!).
Stadium Stampede I was a hoot during a time when hoots were desperately required.
It was only two months prior to this that the still-active global b*stard forced the world to effectively cease operation. Hospitals were rammed with patients while lacking in available beds. Families were torn from their loved ones. Working from home became the new norm for most.
It was a terrible time that we've still not recovered from. That's precisely why Stadium Stampede - and the majority of cinematic wrestling at this time, actually - worked as well as it did. It wasn't intended to be taken seriously. If, after viewing this, your first mission is to @ Jim Cornette on Twitter for his opinion, knowing full well he'll provide an out-of-date opinion, then AEW isn't the promotion for you.
There was little to nag on, really. It very much embodied what All Elite Wrestling is, was, and will be for decades to come. A fun wrestling promotion that serves as an escape for their audience.
