Full Gear was a great show in the direct aftermath of Brawl Out. The Elite made a triumphant return to AEW to the sound of Kansas's 'Carry On My Wayward Son' with one of the most iconic entrances in company history. They would come up short in their Trios Championship match against Death Triangle, but the bout itself was a timely reminder of how vital Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are to the AEW ecosystem.

The night's big talking point came as William Regal turned his back on Jon Moxley to help MJF win his first AEW World Championship. Regal handed the challenger his Dynamite Diamond Ring to use on Moxley in what would prove to be his last meaningful contribution to AEW before returning to WWE.

There were other new champions as Samoa Joe took the TNT Championship in a meat-tastic Triple Threat Match with Powerhouse Hobbs and Wardlow, and Jamie Hayter defeated 'Timeless' Toni Storm to become AEW Women's Champion for the first time. A 13-match card at this point left the event feeling overly long, but there was still plenty of quality on display.
