Every AEW Stable Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Team Taz

The Pinnacle
AEW

Team Taz builds assassins and holds grudges. They are f*cking mint, man.

Taz is one of the greatest promo men in the game. Hilariously aggressive, he's as entertaining as he is formidable as he is short-tempered. He is a gift to both patter and narrative development. AEW need not book anything elaborate to build a conflict between Taz and anybody - he is by default very pissed off - but they did to glorious, sprawling effect throughout the detailed long-term rivalry against Darby Allin and Sting. That was great - Taz settled back into his own glorious miserable f*cker self throughout the killer saga - but really, the unit is equally effective at just kicking the sh*t out of dudes Taz doesn't like. If anything, the more minor the slight, the better and more convincing the backlash.

The dynamic rules as much as the beat-downs.

Brian Cage and Powerhouse Hobbs are the muscle monsters; Ricky Starks the flamboyant polymath that brings a much-needed, different energy to elevate the group beyond the one dimension; Hook the little handsome brooding rat bastard.

The act is wonderful - so much so that the upper midcard probably isn't enough.
