Every AEW Stable Ranked From Worst To Best

3. The Pinnacle

The Pinnacle
AEW

If this list was being penned a few months from now, trends indicate that the Pinnacle would place at precisely that.

The act feels as major league as they do legit. For months, AEW fans fantasy-booked MJF and FTR together in a Four Horsemen stable because the two acts are philosophically bound to one another. Last summer, MJF raged against the pop-chasing gymnasts and the uncouth brawling of Jon Moxley. In (deliberate) parallel, FTR's Dax Harwood was so exasperated with the high-flying exchanges wrestled between Nick Jackson and Fénix at Fyter Fest that he almost exposed the long con of shattering the Elite from within.

Shawn Spears meanwhile feuded with Joey Janela in the early months of Dynamite through a disgust of his new-school vision. Wardlow is a throwback muscle monster who evidently enjoys tossing around the smaller modern athlete at his will.

On fleeting evidence, the Pinnacle are as fantastic at laying down a beating as they are getting the blood drained from their heads.

None of this resonates as JCP cosplay because MJF is his own, sublime promo man. He has evolved the bit to lean more heavily on the menace and blacken the comedy. The fat jokes aimed at Chris Jericho aren't even the deepest cuts. That's the measure of how phenomenal a heel MJF is.

The Pinnacle aren't being called that for nothing.

You'll see.
