6. Death Triangle

The Pinnacle
AEW

If a dislike of Jurassic Express is a tell that you don't possess a soul, a dislike of Death Triangle is a tell that you don't possess taste.

It doesn't matter that the character alignment is inconsistent. They're f*ckin' Death Triangle. Across 2021, the lads have feuded with the Elite and now Best Friends. Nor does it matter that Penta is a full heel now paired with two tweeners. There are two acts in Death Triangle that sit uneasily alongside one another.

It doesn't matter. Head-canon stipulates that PAC and Fénix don't really give a toss about who they fight; something close to a Team Taz stocked with banger practitioners, Death Triangle are nasty, spectacular bastards that get over as a real concern precisely because they are just ultra-skilled combat athletes who don't give a f*ck about the moral order. They occupy the sporting realm bad faith mutants do not believe exiats.

This is basic and scattered booking, but there's enough good, tight stuff elsewhere that more than justifies what these three men were born to do: work mind-melting trios thrillers laced with a tone of pure, head-dropping viciousness.
