Every AEW Tag Team Ranked From Worst To Best

8. Best Friends

Transitioning from wrestling's smaller stages could have been rough for Chuck Taylor and Trent, who fit the PWG vibe like few other acts in the sport, though their late NJPW run showed they could hang in settings like this. AEW would do well to revisit their final Japanese storyline (build around Taylor's violent mood swings) someday.

Best Friends bring their oddball personalities and a more methodical style than most AEW tag teams. They gradually work through the gearbox en route to the finish, their matches always make sense, and they have a strong grasp of psychology. Sure, they're fond of f*cking around, but who cares? They're funny, and it's not like they're doing invisible hand grenade spots on TNT.

7. SoCal Uncensored

A tough group to rank, as Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky are unquestionably the more successful SoCal Uncensored pairing, having enjoyed a lengthy reign as Tag Team Champions, though Sky's move towards singles competition removes that part of the trio's dynamic. Sky is still part of SCU, though it's now up to Kaz and Christopher Daniels to carry the tag load.

Not that there's anything wrong with that: the duo were teaming together long before AEW was conceived. They're a great set of old professionals who still have plenty to offer and while Kaz and Daniels' most successful period may be behind them, they'll retain an important presence in AEW over the next few years.
