Every Bullet Club Member Past & Present: Ranked From Worst To Best
8. Cody Rhodes
It was clear that NJPW planned on building Cody Rhodes up from the moment he debuted. The company rarely book random singles bouts, but they slotted 'The American Nightmare' into a clash with Juice Robinson at Wrestle Kingdom 11. The new Bullet Club man was successful, and while he was made to wait four months before returning to Japan, he followed it with a win over David Finlay in May.
A victory against Michael Elgin at Dominion 6.11 set up the biggest match of his career: a shot at Kazuchika Okada's IWGP Heavyweight Championship at New Japan's G1 Special In USA. Cody was unsuccessful, but it was one of the strongest performances of his career, and is momentum endured.
Away from NJPW, Cody became Ring Of Honor Champion in June, and has since defended the belt against the likes of Christopher Daniels and SANADA as a BC member. He has become one of the group's most prominent members in a short period of time, and while Rhodes has yet to get over with Japanese crowds, his success on the other side of the Pacific justifies his position.
