Every Champion In WWE (And Who Should Beat Them)

5. Intercontinental Title

Champion: Gunther

Who Should Beat Him: Johnny Gargano

Oh man, this would be sweet.

Gunther's Intercontinental Title reign is safe now that Vinnie Mac is out the door and Triple H is calling the creative shots. The big Austrian's hard-hitting, old-school style surely appeals to Hunter, and that means he'll be protected on SmackDown for the foreseeable future.

Over on Raw, Johnny Gargano recently burst back onto the WWE scene by launching a mini-feud vs. Theory. The former NXT man also said that he'd love to target championships on the main roster. Bobby Lashley is a fellow babyface, so that likely rules out the United States belt...but not the IC one on FOX.

Christ, Gunther vs. Gargano even sounds right when you see it written down. Watching the belt-holding brute chop 'Johnny Wrestling' all around the place before Gargano eventually cuts him down to size with superior technical skills would be a real treat.

This just needs to happen. Not should happen - needs to happen.
