Every Current Champion In WWE (And Who Should Beat Them)

2. World Heavyweight Championship

Champion: Seth Rollins

Who Should Beat Him: CM Punk

There's only one man who needs to end the Seth Rollins-led domination on Raw, and...IIIIIT'S STIIIIIIIIIIING! Alright, so it isn't Sting. It's CM Punk. Wearing Stinger face paints. NO! Right, that's plenty. Get out of here, Tony Schiavone. The Punker was screwed over at SummerSlam after beating Gunther to finally claim the World Heavyweight Championship.

Seth revealed that his injury was a fake. He tossed away the crutches, cashed in Money In The Bank, then laughed his merry little arse off at Punk's misfortune. That "ruse of the century" (WWE's words) will be repaid in kind once CM regathers his thoughts. He really has to be the one who takes the title from Rollins eventually.

Triple H must be pondering another Hell In A Cell classic from Punk too. His war vs. Drew McIntyre back at Bad Blood 2024 was one of the year's most heated, violent and outright best matches. There's no reason to expect anything less than from Punk vs. Rollins inside the infamous cage. Their rivalry merits the HIAC treatment; everyone can see that.

Punk's facial expressions at SummerSlam were on point. He didn't oversell Seth's music hitting, but instead quickly realised that he was screwed. There was no time to enjoy that win over Gunther before Rollins cashed in and won, and he knew it. The good news? There will be plenty of time for Punk to celebrate when he defeats Seth at WrestleMania 42.

Not inside the Cell. That'd come before, and it'd end in more heartbreak for CM. Then, in Las Vegas, he'd cash in some chips of his own to leave with the jackpot. You've got to love when a story flows as naturally towards its conclusion as this one.
