8. Skyscraper

In the movie Skyscraper - the plot of which you can almost definitely guess from the title alone - Johnson plays a one-legged man who, for whatever reason, doesn't ever bash anyone in the head with his prosthetic leg. Some days I wake up and appreciate this fact as it's a really lazy cheap gag, but others I wake up furious that it's a visual image I'll never, ever get to see.

Critics weren't wild on it and, yeah, fair enough, there's only so much you can do with one man and a flaming building, but Skyscraper is an unashamed genre movie that felt like a breath of fresh air next to 2018's other action offerings.
