Every Former WWE Superstar And Their Grades Since Joining AEW

7. Awesome Kong (Kharma)

Dustin Rhodes
AEW

Grade: F

Awesome Kong's career has not been defined by her short stint with WWE, which was only two years (2010-2012). Kong is included on this list because of how WWE presented her in 2011, building her up with vignettes that suggested an unstoppable force was about the shake up the women's division. After attacking Michelle McCool at Extreme Rules of that year, we sadly only ever got a month of Awesome Kong- then known as Kharma- before she took a leave of absence because she was pregnant.

Awesome Kong only ever had one official match in WWE, entering The Royal Rumble in 2012, but her accomplishments while wrestling for independent promotions was enough to create a buzz around her arrival at AEW's Double Or Nothing. Kong's time in AEW has been underwhelming to say the least.

It should be made clear that this failing grade does not rest solely on the shoulders of Awesome Kong. The Nightmare Collective was a disastrous faction that, thankfully, was dropped in February of this year, and AEW's women's division spent its first few months spinning its wheels, without any proper direction from creative. While Awesome Kong receives the grade, there is plenty of blame to go around when it comes to why she has not succeeded in AEW.

Kong is currently not on TV, as she is filming the TV series GLOW. Let's hope then if/when she returns to AEW, Kong is repackaged and utilized more effectively than simply being Brandi Rhodes' heavy.
