Every Match From WWE SummerSlam 2016 Ranked - From Worst To Best
2. Universal Title: Seth Rollins Vs. Finn Balor
Result: Balor drills Rollins with the Coup de Grace to become the inaugural Universal champ (19:24).
Rating: This one started off so well-paced and intense, but quickly slowed way down and indulged in far too many rest holds. Perhaps it's in part because expectations were so high, but this one settled for merely being good when it should've been Match of the Night (and the match that closed out the show too).
They had everything they needed for a classic, but sometimes it just doesn't come together that way. Still, it was compelling throughout and the final sequence was highly entertaining. Shame about that ugly belt, though, which kept the crowd pretty distracted for the most part.
