Hardcore Holly's ECW 2006 run remains a somewhat forgotten element of the erosion of professional relations between Paul Heyman and Vince McMahon as the latter's reimagining of the Extreme brand continued unchecked.

There were worse choices to play mercenary on behalf of the heel Heyman, but the show was so polluted by bad choices at the time that the pairing felt like a rotten move too far - especially when Holly replaced Sabu in the Extreme Elimination Chamber.
