Dramatic because fans still wanted Edge to win the company's top prize and Money In The Bank 2021 was the first Premium Live Event they'd been let back in full in "normal" conditions for since March 2020, the contest doesn't really hold up on rewatch.

Roman Reigns was still locking in the defending champion formula at the time, and while Edge was still a sentimental favourite, he was some way removed from contention right as the company needed a challenger with a bit more spice.

'The Rated-R Superstar' secured a visual pinfall, protecting him somewhat, but the loss was rapidly forgotten when John Cena emerged as the show-closing surprise. The main event, in reality, had been an advert for this all along.
