More about the aftermath than the contest itself, the final title showdown between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens had a post-match sequence so wildly powerful that it will probably resonate with fans from this era forever.

Sami Zayn cracking Reigns across the back with a steel chair to signal his exit from The Bloodline and reinforce his loyalty to Kevin Owens was instantly solidified as one of the finest moments in WWE history, and made a decent-if-predictable brawl all the more redundant as a result.

Ultimately, it took the story exactly where it needed to go, and Owens was the right warm body for the role, but this was comfortably the least impactful of their impressive efforts.
