Every The Fiend WWE Pay Per View Match Ranked Worst To Best
2. Daniel Bryan (Royal Rumble 2020)
It was everything that their Survivor Series match was, but better.
Now with an added strap-stip, a freshly trim Daniel Bryan took the fight to Bray Wyatt with epic resolve. They beat the sh*t out of each other. The match did justice to both of them.
Most notable were the tweaks made since The Fiend's last pay pew view appearance with Bryan, which displayed a willingness to actually improve on the theatrics where necessary.
For one thing, they ditched that bedevilled red lighting, but there was also some nice evolution in The Fiend’s character, namely involving his in-ring personality and his interaction with those around him. If you need an example, watch the match and look out for Bray's amusing and also disturbing reaction when somebody shouts 'Yowie Wowie' near the front row. It's all about the little touches.
Alas, for all of his revitalised determination, Daniel Bryan failed to score the victory. The Fiend further clarified himself as the 'big bad' and, despite the occasional dodgy creative choice along the way, he still holds that position today. Excellent stuff.
