Every Version Of WWE's Demon Finn Bálor: Ranked From Worst To Best

13. TakeOver: R Evolution

The first appearance of Finn Bálor’s Demon alter ego debuted nearly all of the character’s trademarks that fans are now familiar with. In what was the former New Japan star's debut TakeOver event, Finn teamed with Hideo Itami to battle the fearsome duo of The Ascension -- no strangers to painted visages themselves.

Bálor went a step further however, as he covered nearly his full body in paint, transforming him into a snarling, fang-toothed beast. While the elaborate design was the centerpiece, the dreadlock-like headdress and tentacle-like wrist tassels also lent to the overall image. Even Finn’s now-iconic entrance where he rises from the smoke was already present.

It’s rare in wrestling that something is so right from the very start, but Finn’s debut as the Demon was just that — perfect. However, the seemingly impossible happened with later appearances when Finn’s warpaint continued to evolve and somehow improve. With further add ons and unique entrance pieces in NXT and on the WWE main roster, Bálor's Demon has not once failed to capture attention or admiration.
