Undertaker's victory over Edge at WrestleMania XXIV looks like a formality in the history books, but on the night the Deadman actually found his opponent so difficult to put away that he had to invent a whole new move on the spot.

This is because the Rated-R Superstar managed to throw an instinctive arm up after getting caught in the Tombstone, a manoeuvre 'Taker executed after Edge's own attempt at doing one was reversed in mid-air.

For a moment (albeit a very brief moment) it really did seem like we were about to witness the end of The Phenom's streak. It seemed to make perfect sense, given that the reigning World Heavyweight Champion was also undefeated in singles competition at the Show of Shows.

Alas, it was Undertaker who emerged with victory, after countering a Spear into the Hell's Gate, a new submission hold to which Edge had no choice but to tap out, leading to its being banned the following month by an irate Vickie Guerrero.
