10. Paul Bearer Gets Cased In Cement (WWE)

The sound of Paul Bearer's shrill screaming as he was encased in cement at The Great American Bash 2004 haunts those who watched the pay-per-view live. Actually, seeing The Undertaker work a humdrum handicap main event vs. The Dudley Boyz just before that angle was also torture. Honestly, why this had to go on last when JBL vs. Eddie Guerrero was right there is anyone's guess.

WWE furnished the 2-on-1 bout with a simple premise going in: If Bubba-Ray and D-Von won, then Bearer would suffocate in cement. They didn't win though - 'Taker did, but he pulled the switch on Paul and told the iconic manager to rest in peace anyway. Yeah, work that one out. What was that about 2004 being a bit of a bogus year for the promotion?

The big story here is obviously Bearer's demise. It was so over the top and goofy to see and hear him scream his lungs hoarse at the thought of becoming a sub-concrete ghoul only handy for being shown off during WrestleMania fan fests in the future. What a mental image that is. 'Come and see Mr. McMahon's smashed up Corvette and Paul Bearer trapped in cement!'.

Creative ignored this angle when Paul returned in 2010 to help facilitate the latest chapter in Undertaker's feud with Kane. It was like Great American Bash 2004 had been a dream. No, a nightmare. The fact Bearer seemingly survived this stunt is preposterous. The fact WWE barely even acknowledged it after shoving the thing onto pay-per-view is even weirder.

That isn't the wind whistling you can hear. It's the sound of Paul Bearer's voice.
