EVERY Wrestling Move Banned By WWE (And Why)

16. Muscle Buster

The Muscle Buster was one of Samoa Joe’s finishers in Impact Wrestling, NXT, and early into his WWE run. It looks devastating and fit Joe’s power wrestling style. However, he was forced to only use his other finisher, the Coquina Clutch, after WWE banned The Muscle Buster.

Before his television debut, Joe wrestled a Raw dark match against Tyson Kidd. He used the Muscle Buster to get the win over Kidd. While Joe celebrated, Kidd had difficulty recovering. He had suffered a spinal cord injury that would have killed an ordinary non-athlete. The injury required surgery that included staples, screws, and a rod placed in his neck.

Kidd has been out of action since 2015, and so has the Muscle Buster. A video recently surfaced of him training in a wrestling ring, and though an in-ring return might be a long shot, just seeing Kidd with the physical ability to work out inside the squared circle is encouraging.
