Every Wrestling Rookie Of The Year: Where Are They Now?

38. 1985: Jack Victory

Essa Rios Lita
WWE Network

Jack Victory was known as a solid wrestler trapped in what was a bizarre gimmick cycle even by the standards of the post-cable era. The New Jersey native was variously a New Zealander, a Russian and an Englishman in Jim Herd's NWAWCW.

His award here is odd, writing subjectively. He had a weird working punch and a cartoonish bumping approach (though that wasn't uncommon for an apparently more realistic era). Paul Heyman took a liking to him, so much so that he rescued Victory from the wilderness that was the '90s indie circuit. The ECW run didn't work out either: he broke his leg just months into it.

He last wrestled in 2021 and will cut a shoot interview on occasion.
