It’s a well-known fact that The Undertaker and The Rock are two reasons why the Attitude Era is so fondly remembered. But it’s somewhat less-known that the pair actually met in a Casket Match on Raw in mid-1999.

At the time, they weren’t rivals and had their own feuds going on with other superstars, so the stipulation was unnecessary. On the plus side, they wasted no time in getting right into things, throwing strikes left, right and centre. But it ended up being a short affair when Triple H ambushed The Rock with a sledgehammer, securing a victory for The Undertaker.

The two worked well together in a short space of time. But given the extreme brevity, and the fact that Undertaker was clearly hurting, this match never really got a chance to get off the ground. Thankfully, these two were given that chance two months later when they had a great match for the WWE Championship at King of the Ring.
