It couldn't be anybody else but The Fabulous Moolah, in spite of how little her complex legacy requires attention through the modern lens.

Lillian Ellison was a dominant figure in every aspect of women's wrestling for decades, but new and unpleasant lights were shone on the extent at which she held, gained or maintained power over the years. The statistics are meaningless against the realities several women have discussed, but nobody spent as much time with WWE's largely neglected women's Championship than her.
