Every WWE Elimination Chamber Match Ranked Worst To Best
17. 2006 WWE Championship
On first glance, this might appear to be yet another Elimination Chamber with a top-heavy field of John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Kane and Kurt Angle with also-rans Carlito and Chris Masters.
However, all six men in this match more than held their own inside the Elimination Chamber. Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle continued to prove they were some of the best in the world as they carried much of the action in this match. The breakout performances by Masters and Carlito leave fans to wonder what could have been if WWE had pulled the trigger on either of these up and coming stars.
The true story of the match happened moments after John Cena won the match with *checks notes* a roll-up on Carlito. As Cena lay bloodied in the ring after his win, Vince McMahon came out and announced Edge would be cashing in his Money In The Bank Contract. Two minutes later, Edge had made history and won his first WWE Championship. Unlike Batista four years later, this moment added to the match as opposed to undermining it.
