Every WWE Extreme Rules Main Event Ranked Worst To Best
11. The Miz Vs. John Morrison Vs. John Cena (2011)
Following their not exactly monumental main event at WrestleMania in 2011, John Cena and The Miz were apparently good for one more round, this time in a steel cage, and accompanied by the fun-boosting antics of John Morrison.
As one can expect, Morrison went to work and stole the show, but even the occasional high-flying Kodak moment couldn't get the crowd behind this. For the better part, the action limped along, and people grew bored.
Business picked up a little when R-Truth stepped into the fray and turned heel. It was to be the start of a long running angle where he, alongside The Miz, would become the top villains of WWE. It had a certain charm, but this underwhelming opener added little excitement to the prospect. Everyone was still salivating over the announcement of a John Cena vs. Rock WrestleMania event that wouldn't happen for another year.
It only meant that this already uninteresting match had to pull something special out of the bag to make it count. It did no such thing. Lackluster all round.
